Kids Valentine’s Day LED Card Workshop

Looking for a fun and creative Valentine activity or something to gift a loved one? Spark! Imagination and Science Center is hosting two Paper Circuits Makers Programs, one for kids and one for adults! Participants in the workshops will make and take home a light-up Valentine’s Day card. The children’s program will be held on February 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. It is limited to ages 6-14.

“Each handmade card is unique. Giving one is a wonderful way to show someone that you’re thinking of them,” says Tiffany Martin, Education Coordinator at Spark! Imagination and Science Center. ”Participants have the opportunity to flex their creativity while learning some science.”

The program will include an introduction to basic circuitry concepts with plenty of time to practice with the materials. Spark! staff will be available to lend a hand. All materials needed for the workshop will be provided and no experience is necessary.

The cost of the Paper Circuits Makers Programs are $15 for non-members or $10 for members for each participants. The program fee includes all design and craft materials and instructions. Prepayment is required and non-refundable. Space is limited and participants must preregister two days prior to the class. Children’s guardians must be present at the museum during the class. Spark! Imagination and Science Center is located in the Mountaineer Mall at 5000 Greenbag Road. Regular admission is $6 per child, $2 per adult. Memberships are available.
