World Chimpanzee Day
Help us celebrate World Chimpanzee Day and honor human’s closest cousin, the chimpanzee, at Spark! Imagination and Science Center. On Saturday, July 6 from 10 am to 1 pm, join us for hands-on activities to learn about chimpanzees and the threats that they face, and what we can do to help.
“This is an opportunity to not only celebrate chimpanzees,” says Tiffany Martin, Education Coordinator of Spark! Imagination and Science Center, “but also to learn how we are similar and what we can do to help protect them.”
Visitors can also explore Spark’s hands-on exhibits during the event, including our new additions to out engineering exhibit. Dig for pretend dinosaur fossils, build a ball ramp, explore nanoscience, play dress up, and much more. Regular admission applies.
Spark! Imagination and Science Center is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization. Spark is located inside the Mountaineer Mall at 5000 Greenbag Road and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. For more information, call 304-292-4646 or visit the museum’s website at sparkwv.org.
